What's Your Wedding Style?

Congratulations! You have already made the biggest decision. You have chosen your partner and will be married!
Most Brides will choose a date or venue for the wedding first. I am suggesting that you set the style of your wedding before you do anything else. Choosing the style of your wedding goes hand in hand with choosing a date, venue and gown etc. For example, do you want your guests to enjoy a sit down dinner and be served champagne and caviar or were you thinking of having a country style Barbeque in an outdoor setting? Wearing that heavenly bridal gown that you saw in a magazine or a bikini, veil and bare feet?
The style of the Wedding will have a lot to do with the date or season. If you have always dreamt of an outdoor wedding and you live in Vermont, March might not be the best month to book the venue. OK, you get the point!
Now, back to the style of your wedding.
Next, paint a picture in your mind of how you imagine your ceremony and reception to appear. Now hold on to that thought!
Many times I have found that it is difficult for brides to express in words what they want for their Wedding Style. But when I show them a picture they know immediately if it is just what they were thinking of. So, with that in mind I would say look through magazines and books, clipping and collecting ideas to show your vendors. By doing this you are creating an image to convey just what you want for your floral arrangements, table settings, linens and food presentation and even your wedding gown.
So, I ask you, what is/was your wedding style?
Like the words from that old song
the days that lie before you, your memories shall be..
